Hydrolat of wild thyme
Its cheerful name evokes the antics of rabbits in search of a good green. The wild thyme (Thymusserpyllum) is a creeping plant, familiar with hillsides, slopes and mid-mountain. It likes the sunny slopes, the meadows, and thus well drained grounds. Its leaves are tiny and its flowers pink purple, innumerable. Its perfume is hot, powerful and pleasant. Lying on a carpet of wild thyme is a health cure in itself.
Considered in the Middle Ages as an antidote to the misdeeds of venomous animals, the wild thyme is mainly used nowadays against bronchial problems.
It liquefies and makes expectorate mucus, calms coughs and disinfects the respiratory tract.
The thyme serpolet is recognized for its diuretic virtues. It is also useful in the event of intestinal flu, of gastric pains type heartburn, it also relaxes the overworked or overexcited persons.
The properties purifying properties of the Hydrolat of Serpolet make an excellent cleanser for the skin. It also gives a lot of energy after a physical or psychic fatigue. It is also used in oral care.
HYDROLAT CURE
Hydrosols are very effective internally to soothe psycho-emotional problems or certain specific pathologies.
We speak of a hydrolat cure when we wish to use them internally for a period of 20 to 40 days. It is also possible to take a hydrolat occasionally.
