The complete book on incense, essential oils and infusions is, indeed, a book of magical recipes. Like any cookbook, it teaches, allows plenty of scope for personal experimentation and offers a wide variety of recipes. These are not the same old, tired recipes that have appeared time and again in the Carnets Magiques. They are tried and tested, and Cunningham has collected them from many sources after years of experimentation. We find in this book a very well-written chapter on the basic principles of magic, which answers questions like, "What can I use if I can't find juniper?" For this alone, the book is worth the price. I highly recommend it.
