INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE :

Light the end of the stick. Once well lit, extinguish the flame by waving the stick in the air. The ember created allows you to disperse the smoke, using a feather or your hand, for purification. To purify the house, walk clockwise around each room until you return to the starting point. To purify a person or object, disperse the smoke upwards, forwards and backwards. Always open windows to let smoke out. Ideally, use an abalone shell to carry and extinguish the stick. To extinguish the stick, crush the embers at the bottom of the shell. Before storing for future use, make sure the stick is completely extinguished.
