How to calculate the right weight of menthol crystals for your recipe:

[Poids des cristaux de menthol] = [X%] x [poids total de votre préparation] / 100

Caution: Although this substance is non-toxic, it is advisable to limit the amount of mint crystals used. Start with a small quantity, so that you can gradually learn to estimate the intensity of the effect. Too many crystals can cause irritation to the eyes and respiratory tract. The skin may also be irritated. It's important to wash your hands thoroughly after handling crystals to prevent irritation. If undiluted crystals come into contact with the eyes or an open wound, rinse thoroughly with water. This will reduce the concentration, which will lessen the sensation of irritation. Always keep mint crystals in their original packaging. Close the package after each use. Store in a dry place to prevent moisture from melting the crystals. Keep out of reach of children.May cause apnea reflex or laryngospasm. Menthol is a terpene derivative; do not use in epileptics or those with a history of convulsions. Not recommended for pregnant or breast-feeding women. Never apply a product containing menthol to the breasts if you are breast-feeding. Avoid contact with the eyes and do not apply menthol-based formulas near the eyes. Do not touch eyes or face with gloves used for handling menthol. Always wash hands after using menthol-based products. Do not use undiluted on the skin; handle with gloves. Caution: depending on individual sensitivity, the "ice cube" effect may be more or less powerful. Always test the effect on a small area before using more widely. High doses should be reserved for localized treatments (sore spots, itching, feet, legs). Do not apply to large areas of the body. Do not use on damaged skin (burns, wounds, eczema, etc.). Do not use on animals.
