The Oracle of the Divine Animals
Who are Cernunos? Kitsune? Nanook? Ganesh? In all civilizations, it is important to reconnect with the sacred dimension of animals. In the past, animals always had a liturgical role in the life of humans, although it differed according to tradition. The Divine Animals were portrayed as supernatural beings, sometimes venerated, sometimes cursed, but always having an important role in the functioning of our planet (climate, natural disasters, etc.) and in the earthly life of the human being. According to the different cultures, the Divine Animals could be characterized as being the creators of the cosmos or the original chaos. Alternately guardians of wisdom and knowledge, guides, ambivalent gods or malignant seducers who lead us to our doom, they all represent different stages in our own learning. In this oracle, I have chosen to classify the cards by seven sets of seven cards under the following themes: Auspicious Animals, Guiding Animals, Ambivalent Animals, Order and Knowledge Animals, Confusion and Disorder Animals, Chimera and Transformation Animals, Evolution Animals.
